MortarIQ documentation

Everything you need to connect a warehouse, run an assessment, and read the results. Written to be complete: if you get stuck anywhere, that is a bug in these docs, and we want to hear about it.

What MortarIQ is

MortarIQ is an AI data readiness scanner. It connects to your data warehouse with read-only access, reads schema metadata (never your data values), and scores readiness for a specific AI workload across the six factors of the 6C framework. The output is a readiness verdict, a requirement-level breakdown, a PII exposure inventory, prioritized recommendations, and remediation SQL.

Guides

Getting started

Sign up to first report in about two minutes. Covers connect, discover and pick, profiles, and reading the report. See /docs/getting-started.

Connections

Step-by-step setup for all six platforms, including the exact read-only grants and the common failure for each. See /docs/connections.

Methodology

The 6C framework, the 50 requirements, how scoring works, and why some checks honestly report not assessable. See /docs/methodology.

Frameworks

The seven selectable compliance lenses and how findings map to them. See /docs/frameworks.

CLI agent

Run assessments inside your own network when the warehouse is not reachable from the internet. See /docs/cli.

Trust, verifiable

Every claim about what we access is verifiable: the exact read-only SQL each connector runs is published at /security/queries, generated from the connector source code. Every query carries a per-scan id your DBA can find in your query history. Security practices are documented at /security.
